§ 405. Powers and duties

The School Board shall have all the powers conferred and shall perform all the duties imposed by law upon superintending school committees in regard to the care and management of the public schools of the Town, except as otherwise provided in this Charter. The School Board shall prepare budget estimates in detail of the several sums required during the ensuing budget year for the support of the public schools and at least 45 days before the beginning of the budget year, the School Board shall furnish copies of such estimates to the Town Manager. All meetings of the School Board shall have due public notice and shall be recorded. No failure to give public notice or to make record of any meeting at which no vote is taken shall invalidate any action of the Board.
